Preparation Before Installation
Before installing the Teflon mesh belt, a comprehensive inspection of the relevant equipment is necessary. First, check the transmission system, including the motor and reducer, to ensure normal operation without jamming or abnormal noise. Also, check the connections of the transmission system for secureness and the appropriate tension of the belt or chain. Second, check the support structure of the mesh belt, such as rollers and idlers, ensuring that these supporting components have smooth surfaces, are free from wear, deformation, or other defects, and are installed accurately with correct horizontal and vertical alignment. Additionally, clean the installation site, removing debris and dust to prevent them from entering the mesh belt during installation and affecting its normal operation.
Mesh Belt Installation Process
1. Mesh Belt Unfolding: Carefully remove the Teflon mesh belt from the packaging and slowly unfold it according to the installation direction. During unfolding, avoid contact between the mesh belt and sharp objects to prevent scratching the surface. Also, pay attention to the front and back of the mesh belt to ensure correct installation.
2. Belt Threading: Thread one end of the unfolded mesh belt through the drive roller and each support roller, ensuring the belt is centered on the rollers to avoid deviation. Auxiliary tools such as hooks can be used during threading, but care must be taken not to damage the mesh belt.
3. Belt Connection: After both ends of the mesh belt have passed through the corresponding rollers, they need to be connected. Common connection methods include heat fusion and mechanical connection. Heat fusion involves heating both ends of the mesh belt to a certain temperature, fusing them together. This method offers high strength but requires specialized equipment and techniques. Mechanical connection uses specialized connectors, such as mesh belt buckles, to connect the two ends of the mesh belt. This method is simple and convenient but has relatively lower strength. During connection, ensure a secure and tight connection.
4. Tension Adjustment: After the mesh belt connection is completed, tension adjustment is required. Adjust the tensioning device to achieve the appropriate tension. The tension should not be too tight or too loose. Excessive tightness will increase belt wear and reduce its service life; excessive looseness will cause the belt to slip, affecting transmission efficiency. Generally, the belt tension should be such that it does not slip or deviate during operation.
5. Trial Run Inspection: After completing the above installation steps, conduct a trial run of the equipment. Start the motor and allow the belt to run slowly, observing its operation. Check for belt deviation, abnormal noise, and friction with other components. If any problems are found, stop the machine immediately for adjustment and repair.
